We are committed to the safe and secure reuse of electronics, the responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills and the recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.The Team Leader assists the production supervisor in executing daily production demands in a safe and efficient manner. In addition to regular assigned functions within the operation, the team leader supports delegation of duties, staffing assignments, employee training, production report and ensure that all company policies and procedures are always followed in order to meet production goals. . Responsibilities: Direct and schedule the activities of team in order to achieve business needsOver see employees on team including: providing guidance and reminders of appropriate workplace behaviours; assisting with training and assessment of personnel; ensuring adequate training, skills and abilities are demonstrated regularly and consistently, and initiating actions for improvement when deficiencies are identifiedEnsuring strong morale is maintained by leading by example when conducting all work tasks, particular communication skills and professionalism always Abide by and enforce corporate policies regarding work and quality procedures, security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.Review that all production documentation is filled out properly and in a timely mannerContinually strive to improve processes and systems to improve efficiencies and competitivenessMaintain quality standards and a clean work environment free from safety hazardsManually, disassemble, sort, tag and move material to shelves, skids, or other assigned location in accordance with company policy and proceduresManually dismantle electronics materials by hand or small tools Uses basic math skills to ensure and record accurate weight of materialsReport all irregularities and non-conformances on maintenance checklist to the Operations Manager Perform or ensure regular (daily, weekly, monthly) machine maintenance/inspection checks are completed in accordance with standard procedures or as directed Inform Management of problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labour Ensure to work with / use security measures, procedures and devices as requiredMaintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier and Company informationParticipate in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the job Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in similar position Valid forklift license Lock Out / Tag Out Training Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness training Job-Specific Knowledge and Skills Considerable computer literacy including inventory systems and MS Office applicationsKnowledge of ELP systemsDemonstrated leadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication skillsSolid knowledge of plant processes and procedures, including strong understanding of material classification and identificationJob specific training in identification and classification of materialsDemonstrated familiarity with Health & Safety, Employment Standards and Compliance LegislationWe Offer:Company paid Extended Health & Dental BenefitsDisability & Life InsuranceCompany RRSP matching up to 4%Employee Family Assistance ProgramEducation Reimbursement ProgramEmployee Purchase Program (up to 22% off on Qnovum.ca)The opportunity to play a part in protecting the environment and contributing to sustainability.Quantum is an equal opportunity employer.
