This role will influence priorities and ensure alignment with business objectives, while collaborating closely with the platform team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of customer-centric product development. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with business stakeholders, gathering business requirements, and translating them into actionable technical stories for the development team. As the Technical Product Owner, you will ensure that the squad adheres to agile practices, including conducting regular ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. You will also be responsible for planning the technical roadmap, prioritizing features, and ensuring that delivery is on track to meet business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining a seamless communication experience for our customers.Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Omni-channel communications platform team to deliver a seamless and efficient communication process for our customers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.Monitors and generates reports on product KPIs.Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve the digital communication experience.Manage the technology product backlog, define user stories, and set sprint goals.Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product vision and goals.Monitor and report on product performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance the customer experience.Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure seamless operation.Develop and maintain technical documentation for business and technical processes.Lead the development and execution of a long-term platform strategy aligned with technology architectural and business goals.Brings an innovative mindset to improving and elevating technology solutions and enablersRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in a project management, technical product owner, platform owner, engineer, or similar roleStrong understanding of life insurance industry workflows and processes, particularly relevant to the products being usedExcellent communication, collaboration, negotiation and interpersonal skillsAbility to translate business needs into effective solutionsExperience with program and agile delivery methodologiesProficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solvingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with project tracking software (e.g. Jira)Experience with Azure, AKS on AzureExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)Experience with DevOps principles and toolsExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience with Agile methodologiesWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.#LI-JHAbout Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
