In this role, you will contribute to providing a world class education and student experience. The Intermediate Application Support Specialist provides technical and consultative support to Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) community members for software applications. Here are some of the things you can expect to do in this role:Provides technical support for 3rd-party applications acquired by TMU community members.Provides user support and develops user documentation.Oversees small to medium sized projects.Administers help desk ticket systems (such as ServiceNow).QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:Completion of a post-secondary degree program in computer science or related field. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in:A technical support position with focus on applications.Client-facing support, including strong interpersonal, and communication skills.Working knowledge of MS Windows and Linux.Knowledge of shell scripting (e.g. Bash, Powershell).Relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle SQL) including developing queries using SQL. Working knowledge of the securities involved for Payment card integrations with point of sale solutions and ecommerce.Authentication services for Active Directory, LDAP, and SAML.Web services (REST/SOAP) for data import/export.Knowledge of ServiceNow administration.Strong communication and analytical skills.Equivalent experience or a combination of equivalent experience and education may be accepted in place of education.
