About the Role
Teranet is currently looking for an Intermediate Application Support Specialist to support our Application and Database Support Team. You will manage production environment incidents, service requests, problem management and root cause analysis. You will also be responsible for managing and implementing changes and releases to production environment. You will quickly learn the details of complex systems and will troubleshoot, document, resolve problems, implement technical enhancements and maintenance repairs corresponding to business requirements and design modifications. Occasional overtime will be required for off hour on call production support. You will be supplied equipment to permit work from home for off hour production support
What will you be doing Manage production system change requests for patching and monitoring changes etc.Work closely with business teams to analyze and triage production issues- Manage and coordinate at a local and international level where required- Provide technical support to teams within the organization, and to external clients when required
About You- You have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline- You have 2-4 years’ experience in production support- You have experience and knowledge of Windows Server operations, Linux, Azure Red Hat OpenShift- You have an understanding and experience of ITIL and ITSM foundation frameworks- You have experience with SQL Server, Service Now, Solarwinds, AppDynamics, Control-M tools is desired- You are a good communicator
