At GHD we are committed to addressing the world’s biggest challenges in the areas of energy, water and communities. About usWe are a global network of multi-disciplinary professionals providing clients with integrated solutions through engineering, environmental, design and construction expertise. Our future-focused, innovative approaches connect and support communities around the world, building resiliency and sustainability for generations to come. Established in 1928, we remain wholly owned by our people. We are 10,000+ diverse and skilled individuals connected by over 200 offices, across five continents. Who are we looking for? The Power and Utilities Sector has been identified as a bold growth priority for GHD globally and will now be formalized as a client sector within the Americas to align with the Enterprise Client Program (ECP) and broader market ambitions. This is an early-stage implementation, focused on standing up a new service offering, developing strategic client relationships, and building regional delivery capability across priority markets in Canada, the United States, and Chile. In FY2026, our objective is to lay the foundation—through structure, leadership, and early client wins—that will enable GHD to become a leading provider of energy transition solutions in the Americas. The Power and Utilities Sector will include clients across clean power, grid modernization, energy storage, hydrogen and renewable fuels, and will overlap significantly with existing Oil & Gas clients—many of whom now identify as integrated energy producers. These clients are actively transitioning their business models, investing in decarbonization, and seeking trusted technical partners who can guide them through the complexity of regulatory, technical, and capital planning challenges. While our capability in environmental consulting has historically supported these clients, the new Power and Utilities Sector will focus on expanding GHD’s value chain participation, including front-end advisory, permitting, engineering, and eventually, program delivery through models such as EPCM, Owner’s Engineer, and IPD. The Sector Leader will lead our client focus and growth strategy to align to our current Energy Implementation Plan that includes emphasis on: Build critical capability: prioritize Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Hydropower, Future Fuels, and Gas-to-Power. Engage early clients: launch cross-sell initiatives with utilities, public agencies, and Oil & Gas companies evolving into the energy transition space. Focus on targeted growth geographies, such as Ontario, Texas, and California, where client demand and GHD footprint already support acceleration. We are in search of a Sector Leader capable of growing a business through client relationships with power and utility companies. There will be a strong nexus with our identified Oil and Gas Clients as well as Partnerships with Contractors that will need to be considered.
