Job descriptionHireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Sensor Integration Engineer to validate and integrate sensor cleaning systems that ensure cameras, LiDARs, and other sensors operate reliably across all weather conditions and vehicle platforms.In this role, you’ll design and execute validation plans, perform root cause analyses, and support hardware and system-level testing to improve sensor performance, reduce downtime, and enhance vehicle reliability. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and fleet operations to deliver a robust, production-ready solution that improves quality and efficiency across the fleet.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically versatile, with strong CAD experience, a background in data acquisition and root cause analysis, and excellent communication skills. You’re comfortable presenting complex technical findings to non-technical audiences and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Candidates invited to interview will be asked to briefly present an engineering project they’ve personally contributed to.As a Sensor Integration Engineer, you’ll:Diagnose and troubleshoot fleet issues impacting system performance.Support wind tunnel and fleet testing of SCM function.Support hardware/system-level testing activities as needed.Write a test plan, design an internal test fixture, execute testing, and report the test result.RequirementsA bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering (or a related field)2+ years of industry experience in mechanical/electrical system integration or testingProficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Catia, UG NX, or equivalent)Experience with data acquisition tools and data visualizationHands-on experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical/electrical systemsFamiliarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processingExperience using CAN tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, IPmotion, LabVIEW) for diagnostics and data analysisStrong presentation and communication skills, able to explain technical findings to non-technical audiencesBonus Qualifications:Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsFamiliarity with automotive standards (FMVSS, ISO, IEC)Hands-on experience with thermocouples, strain gauges, pressure transducers, and accelerometersAbility to use CAN tools for vehicle-level troubleshooting and analysisBenefits:Pre-tax commuter benefits Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (Eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costsHireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance401k packageCommitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
