We are looking for a Building Caretaker to join our Residential team in St. John's, NL. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide basic maintenance and general upkeep to Northview property grounds and buildings, depicting the pride of ownership and respect for our residents and delivering on our promise to residents to provide a safe and clean home in which to live. This position requires someone who is passionate about providing a safe and clean place for residents to call home. Responsibilities: Clean all common areas including entrance and exits, and ensure walkways are clearVacuum/wash floors, elevators, hallways, stairs, windows and common roomsMaintain the grounds, including landscaped areas, sidewalks, and parking lotsPerform seasonal duties as required (gardening, mowing, weeding, snow removal, and salting)Assist with minor maintenance as neededRespond to all resident questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely mannerFocus on customer service and resident retentionOther related duties as assigned by the manager Qualifications: Prior experience with building maintenance, janitorial, or groundskeeping in either commercial or residential properties would be an assetAble to work independently, is a self-starter, and takes pride in a job well doneProven ability to work productively and safely while under pressureGood customer service skills and pleasant demeanorAn ability to speak and write English fluentlyAble to lift up to 50lbsAble to provide a criminal record check free of relevant convictionsHold a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstractFlexible schedule, able to work on call and weekends as needed Benefits Competitive payExtended health care including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance, drug coverage, and wellness programsDiscounts on rent at Northview properties If your background matches the qualifications listed above and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve, please submit your resume in confidence. Please note, only those candidates chosen to continue through the selection process will be contacted.
