We’re always pushing new limits. You can too.District Overview Kiewit’s Western Canada District is headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. We build heavy civil projects including earth moving, transportation, roadways, bridges, water resources, and underground utilities. Our current projects are spread across the entire West Coast of Canada including local and rotation projects within British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and the NWT. The position is based in our Burnaby District office but frequent travel to sites is required.Responsibilities Partner with project leadership to implement HR strategies that support operational goals Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance across multiple project sites Support onboarding and workforce planning initiatives Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend improvements in processes and programs Serve as a change agent, promoting organizational effectiveness and employee engagement Assist in conflict resolution, performance management, and employee relations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or industrial sectors Strong understanding of Canadian labor laws and HR compliance Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to travel and relocate based on project needs Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis tools is a plus Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
