Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.SummaryThe purpose of this position is to oversee the sales function for key accounts and establish a position of trusted business partner with key customer accounts in a proactive, planned and mutually beneficial relationship.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Account Services LeadLead the sales function at location and facilitate the location product forecasting and sales planning function.Work with the Regional Manager and Location Manager to determine target account management responsibilities within location customer baseOversee sales function for each assigned account and work toward a proactive and strong professional relationship with eachEstablish internal resource requirements for each accountEnsure timely data entry for accounts into CRM system and ensure customer records are up to date and current.Ensure compliance with company customer management standardsOversee the development of an annual crop plan including annual budget with accounts and ensure appropriate credit is in place for all purchase requirements.Manage accounts receivable for assigned customersEnsure proper completion of credit applicationsEnsure appropriate level of customer service for all customersCommunicate competitive landscape pertaining to sales and operations information with Regional ManagerIdentify and pursue new customer opportunities in line with corporate directionPromote and ensure delivery of Agronomy and Ag Innovation services for assigned customers.Assist in agronomy where necessary and appropriateOrganize customers to attend tours, meeting and eventsAttend appropriate professional and agronomy courses to meet Simplot Grower Solutions standardsPlan an appropriate level of contact with customers to maintain strong professional relationshipsUnderstand and lead the location on manufacturer programming and product; maximize programs for all assigned customersWork to increase sales, profit, and market-share through strong professional business relationshipSupport operations during peak season and as requiredWork with the location team to sale completion, such as tracking sales, credit, and deliveryWork with Location Manager and Regional Manager to develop and manage an accurate sales forecast to minimize product inventory levels while maximizing sales for the branch locationAttend workshops/training sessions to continually upgrade skills and knowledgeAttend manufacturer, distributor and industry meetings and functions as requiredMaintain excellent working relationships with vendor/supplier representativesParticipate and contribute to regularly scheduled conference calls and individual coaching sessions.Agronomy Support Assist customers with all types of agronomic adviceEnsure availability for scouting fields if necessaryAssist with soil samples when requiredAssist Agronomists in analyzing soil sample results and provide recommendations based on the infoWork to continually improve agronomic knowledge baseEnsure communication, debriefing and updating of results, agronomic information and cropping experiences with other Simplot Grower Solutions agronomists.Operations SupportAssist in the day-to-day activities of the location as requiredAssist in management of inventory levelsAssist in organizing and maintain chemical in warehouse to ensure compliance with safety codesAssist in handling farm inputs at the warehouseWork with other location team members to improve overall customer serviceBe willing to help with answers to questions if you are ableAssist with administration task when necessary Industry LiaisonEstablish and maintain strong relationships and large industry networkCommunicate with designated representatives for manufactures and distributorsLearn and upgrade knowledge of new products and product updates on chemical, fertilizer, and seed as requiredMaintain strong working knowledge of key industry people and competitorsSimplot Grower Solutions MemberContribute to and maintain a positive attitude in the workplaceConduct yourself in a professional manner in and out of the workplaceKeep and maintain confidentiality of all customers and Simplot Grower Solutions businessEnsure all licenses are up to date and in compliance with provincial and municipal regulationsHelp with any special projects as requiredBe familiar with and live the values that are defined by the Simplot Grower SolutionsContinually develop leadership and business skillsBe active and positive contributors to the communities that we serveFill in for all roles when needed with appropriate skills and talentsSupport safety practices and initiatives as set by safety officer and ensure safe driving habitsMaintain a tidy up workspaceDemonstrate respect and courtesy for all team members, customers, suppliers, and communityExpectationsSimplot Grower Solutions relationship with customers is one of our primary differentiators.
