More specifically, you will be called to: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, documents related to the bidding process, and issue recommendations to ensure compliance with public procurement rules and municipal laws; Collaborate on improving practices by developing contract templates, training, and legal tools primarily in construction law and public contracts for various City departments; Advise and provide legal opinions related to compliance with laws, regulations, and various topics to prevent and reduce litigation risks; Manage diverse and large-scale files, including disputes or claims within a construction project; Conduct legal research and monitor recent developments; Support and contribute to the development of the City's legal knowledge. The ideal profile for us Hold a bachelor's degree in law; Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar; Have six (6) years of relevant experience in construction law, strategic support, project management, or dispute resolution; Good knowledge of the municipal environment and legislation applicable to municipalities or public organizations (asset); Open and motivated to work on diverse topics; Good adaptability and versatility; Skilled in expressing and writing clearly, concisely, and precisely; Good analytical skills; Dynamic and able to work under pressure.
