Project Details: Based at our project in Northern , this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity. Responsibilities: The Electrician on our remote project in Northern SK is responsible and accountable for the following: Follow all policies and processes at the mine site and underground Must be prepared to adhere to all legislated regulations and company Health & Safety policiesand perform the role safely and ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority Following all policies and processes at the mine site and underground Always performing the role safely and ensures Health & Safety is the number one priority Must follow company and legislated safety rules and regulations Interpret and use appropriate sections of the current Ontario Electrical Safety Code Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to carry outassigned tasks Use test equipment to evaluate new, repaired, in-service and stored equipment usingmanufacturers recommendations and safety precautions Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems and replace faulty parts Troubleshoot failures and perform necessary repairs Perform periodic tasks and inspections of equipment and systems to observe operating conditionsand determine what is needed for repair or adjustments Execute preventative maintenance activities including trouble shooting and repairs to allequipment in a timely manner Work in a safe productive manner to maximize quality, efficiency and availability while minimizingmaintenance cost and unscheduled downtime Perform other related duties as required Qualifications / Requirements: Journeyperson level qualification (trade school or college diploma) Provincially regulated Common Core (required) Minimum 3 years underground mining experience Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferably in a fast-paced industrial environment Previous experience of using computer software applicable to maintenance operations Good communication and interpersonal skills Dependable and able to commit to a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high performing team Residents of the Northern SK and candidates identifying as Indigenous are encouraged to apply Pre-employment Requirements: Drug Test Alcohol Test Mine Rescue Medical Criminal Record Check Must take part in Underground Mine Rescue Training If this position involves frequent air travel to and from the work site. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 21 days on site, 21 days off site. For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test and pre-employment testing.
