This role plays a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination of medical equipment and supply orders to support timely patient care. This role bridges clinical knowledge with administrative efficiency—managing supply logistics, prioritizing urgent requests, engages vendor and staff to resolve supply/equipment issues, and ensures vendors and care teams are aligned to meet patient needs. Day and evening shifts are available (either 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm). This is a fully in-office position, giving you the chance to connect directly with the team and keep things running smoothly. Job DescriptionManage medical supply and equipment requests, ensuring clinical appropriateness, completeness, and alignment with program funding or discharge criteriaCollaborate with Supply Chain team, vendors, and healthcare professionals to facilitate timely procurement, resolve clinical concerns, and address supply-related barriers to careReview and reconcile vendor invoices, track supply utilization and costs, and report discrepancies impacting patient care or clinical budgetsProvide clinical oversight on equipment suitability, safe use, and adherence to safety and infection control standardsMaintain accurate documentation and participate in process improvement initiatives focused on clinical quality and patient experienceQualificationsRegistered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioMinimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in community or acute care settingsStrong understanding of medical equipment, community-based care processes, and Ontario’s home and community care structure and funding mechanismsProficiency in EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with telehealth or virtual care workflowsExperience with supply chain collaboration and vendor management in a healthcare environmentAdditional InformationThis position is a current vacancySpectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
