The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee the maintenance operations on our manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment, leading a team of skilled technicians, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of plant equipment and facilities.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, working closely with the engineering team to implement solutions.Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory management.Evaluate and recommend new maintenance tools, equipment, and technologies to enhance operational safety and efficiency.Your skills and expertise To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environmentOne (1) year of team lead and/or supervisory experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Five (5) years or more of maintenance experienceBachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited universityFive (5) years combined engineering process, technology or manufacturing experienceExcellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Excellent leadership and team management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as neededTravel: May include up to 5% domestic/internationalRelocation: Not offeredWhat We Offer: Comprehensive Benefit Plan, RSP plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Incentive Plan, and Defined Contribution Pension PlanPaid time off over the winter holidaysHealth & Wellness subsidiesIndividual Development Plan and Tuition Reimbursement Program3M Canada welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
