Scope of the Position The Outside Sales Representative – Wire and Cable will be responsible for maintaining existing business and acquiring new accounts. This role involves driving profitable daily sales of company products to assigned accounts, identifying additional opportunities to maximize sales potential, and developing new business through a relationship-based approach. The representative will promote, sell, and secure orders from prospective customers, demonstrate products and services, and assist clients in selecting solutions best suited to their needs. This role will have a strong focus on growth within the industrial contractor and industrial end-user segments. Major Responsibilities Perform regular and scheduled calls on assigned accounts Provide timely assistance and product support to customers Promote Robertson Electric by distributing product line cards and company literature Stay current on market trends and new products to effectively promote Robertson’s suppliers Monitor account performance using provided tools Coordinate, lead, and attend scheduled sales meetings Participate in manufacturer training sessions, which may occasionally occur after business hours Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate quoting and tracking of projects Work with management to set monthly targets for your territory Follow and achieve the approved sales and action plan Partner with the credit department to support account receivables and adhere to company credit policies Perform special projects as assigned Skills and Qualifications 2–3 years of experience in the electrical industry 1–3 years of working knowledge of electrical products, with a proven track record in outside sales—specifically focused on Wire and Cable Minimum of 5 years of overall sales experience Results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Benefits & Perks We offer a competitive salary, plus a full set of benefits, including: Flexible benefits program allowing you to choose from options that best fit you and your dependents’ needs.
