In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial accounts and play a key role in maintaining an efficient, customer-friendly credit process. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate credit risk, resolve issues with professionalism, and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.  Key Responsibilities:  Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, evaluating terms and monitoring account status to ensure a seamless credit process.  Credit Oversight: Maintain standardized credit procedures across the company and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.  Decision-Making: Make timely and informed decisions on held orders and payment arrangements within authorized levels.  Collaboration: Liaise with branch teams, operations, and sales departments to provide credit-related support and ensure alignment on customer accounts.  Customer Service: Respond to credit policy questions from Customer Service Representatives and resolve credit-related concerns in a timely manner.  Collections Management: Coordinate with external collection agencies on proposals, settlements, and litigation matters, and follow up as needed.  Administrative Duties: Manage credit-related administrative tasks, such as reporting, tracking declined payments, and updating account statuses.  Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about credit and collections legislation, including bankruptcy procedures and creditor protections.  Conflict Resolution: Handle escalations and conflicts professionally, balancing business priorities with customer needs.  Process Improvement: Continuously assess current processes and systems, offering solutions that improve service levels and compliance.  Qualifications:  Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in credit and collections, preferably with commercial accounts.  Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of credit management systems.  Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.  Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.  Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate complex situations and recommend actionable solutions.  Self-Starter: Motivated, quick learner with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team.  Avenir Energy is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
