We are currently hiring for Dispatchers in Brampton on all 3 shifts Temp-Perm Location Brampton ON ** Hybrid – 4 days on site, 1 day WFHPosition & Pay Dispatcher $22.50/hr Shifts Days – 6AM-2:00PMAfternoons – 2:00PM-10:00PMNights -10:00PM-6:00AM (Mon to Friday, OR Sun to Thurs) Training will be completed on the day shift for 2-3 weeks, then move to set shiftMust be able to pass a crim checkKeys to filling: • 2-3 years of Transportation experience, preferably in a dispatch capacity • Knowledge of major highways and GTA is a must • Experience using Dispatch Software – Omni tracs for tracking/gps/driver messaging, Yardsmart, TMS system, JDA.• Excellent Communication skills • College/University post secondary is preferredOverview:The Transportation Dispatch Team is responsible for coordinating and executing the daily movement of freight across the distribution network. This role ensures timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries to stores and customers while maintaining strong communication with drivers, carriers, warehouse operations, and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:• Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers and equipment to meet daily transportation requirements.• Monitor route performance, delivery timelines, and shipment status, resolving issues proactively.• Communicate regularly with drivers, carriers, and distribution centres to ensure smooth operations.• Update transportation management systems with accurate load and route information.• Troubleshoot delays, equipment issues, or exceptions to minimize service impacts.• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation network.Qualifications:• Experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatching (retail or distribution environment preferred).• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.• Proficiency with dispatch or transportation management systems.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
