This role is essential for managing the complete procurement cycle for specialized raw materials and ensuring the economic efficiency of their sophisticated production.AdvantagesComprehensive Insurance: Quality medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a telemedicine program, eligible from the first day of employment.Stability and Growth: Joining a Quebec company founded in 1980, recognized as an innovator in its sector.Career Advancement: Possibility of advancing toward a Supply Chain Manager role.Flexibility: Flexible start and end times after the training period.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) needs and process purchase requisitions.Issue purchase orders in a timely and cost-effective manner, conducting rigorous price analyses.Ensure rigorous follow-up on open purchase orders (raw products, tooling, chemicals, MRO office supplies).Proactively communicate potential issues or interruptions to management.Identify and evaluate new suppliers, particularly for certain specialized products (strategic sourcing).Lead price and condition negotiations with suppliers once comfortable in the role.Liaise between suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant internal departments (Operations, Engineering, Planning).QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Buyer or Procurement role.Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly machining (metal, industrial).Language Skills: Proficiency in English (communication with international suppliers).
