This role involves acting as a liaison between clients, insurers, and other stakeholders, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process.If you are career-minded and looking for a dynamic work environment with a growth mindset, you will love working among our teamYour day as a Claims AdvisorReview relevant policies upon notification of a new claim.Settle and manage claims under the insured’s deductible.Investigate cause of the loss.Verify coverages included in insurance policy.Review documentation of claims.Estimate damages and losses suffered in order to settle the claim, appoint vendors as necessary.Conduct claims and coverage analysis and recommend solutions to coverage issues.Negotiate payments and reimbursements with the insurers on the client’s behalf.Update the client on the status of the claim as needed.Enter and maintain current and accurate information in the appropriate electronic file system.Maintain current and accurate files and documentation for each claimBuild and maintain excellent relationships with adjusters, insurers and suppliers.Prepare and update loss bordereaux as applicable.Conduct monthly meetings with client to provide update on active claims.Comply with corporate policies and procedures.Our ideal candidate3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry.Excellent knowledge of insurance coverages.RIBO Licensed or willingness to obtain upon hirePursuing CIP, CRM certifications is an asset.Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)Effective time management and organizational skills.Resourceful, customer focused and service oriented.Strong attention to detail and precise.Ability to work well under pressure.Who we are.Founded in 1987 by Barry F.
