Job Description : Note: This is a 12-month contract oppurtunity.WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:The Director, Investment Solutions & Controls (Contract) will play a critical role in supporting two key initiatives: the transition of a Trading Operations team to a new target operating model alongside a major system conversion. The Investment Solutions & Controls team is a newly created pillar within Trading Operations. This 12-month contract position will assist in executing key initiatives to consolidate the administration of Private Fixed Income (PFI) investments into one system and help define the structure and processes of the Investment Solutions & Controls team. The role demands a leader who can drive integrated workstreams across multiple geographies while influencing key stakeholders and supporting a strong control environment across Trade Operations processes.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Support project management and coordination of cross-functional teams to execute a system conversionAssist in identifying and implementing process improvements within Trade OperationsCollaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization to facilitate communication and drive changeSupport the integration of data and processes between multiple system including custodian, investment and accounting systemsIdentify and mitigate risks associated with the system transitionDevelop and implementing training and change management strategiesSupport cost savings through process efficiencies and system consolidationResolve key impediments identified in the transition strategySupport the implementation of technology enhancementsWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:8-10 years of experience in operations, investments, or finance leadership rolesStrong project management skills with ability to drive complex, multi-faceted initiativesWell-developed ability to flowchart and document procedures as well as identify and mitigate control gapsExperience with investment management systems, preferably Aladdin and PAMExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to think strategically and execute tacticallyStrong presence with proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of leadershipOrganizational savvy and ability to navigate and lead cross-functionally within a complex and matrixed organizationPREFERRED SKILLS:Professional accounting/finance designation (CPA/CFA)Experience with system integration projects in the investment management industryKnowledge of private fixed income and related operational processesProficiency in workflow management or visualization tools such as JIRA and Microsoft VisioWhy SLC Management?
