As a member of PSA International, Ashcroft Terminal is part of a global network of supply chain professionalsIn the position of Payroll Accountant, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our employees are compensated accurately and on time. If you have a strong background in payroll processing and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance, we want to hear from youIn this position, you will be responsible for:Processing payroll for employees regularly, including calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.Reviewing and validating timesheets and attendance records for accuracy.Handling payroll inquiries and providing support to employees regarding their compensation and related issues.Preparing and reconciling year-end payroll reports, including T4s.Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations and tax requirements.Collaborating with the HR department to update and maintain employee records, including salary changes, promotions, and terminations.Assisting in the preparation of various payroll reports for management and regulatory authorities.Participating in payroll audits and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Staying current with payroll best practices and industry trends to make recommendations for process improvements.Collaborating with the Finance department to support accounting functions. For success in this role, you must have:Proficiency in accounting and payroll software systems such as Oracle and APD WFNStrong understanding of Canadian payroll regulations, including T4s, ROEs, and year-end reconciliation.Familiarity with managing payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, including shift work and averaging agreements.Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and reconcile data effectively.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to work collaboratively with team members and adapt to training from various colleagues.Ability/ willingness to work on a part time schedule, approximately 24 hours/ weekCompensation details: 32-36 Hourly WagePIa9946979be14-30511-39191479
