About the Role
As a Journalism Co-op Intern, you will:
- Write & Publish: Create high-quality blog posts, news articles, and website content.
- Conduct Interviews: Speak with industry experts, customers, and employees for feature stories.
- Develop Engaging Content: Craft compelling narratives that connect with our audience.
- Research & Fact-Check: Ensure all content is accurate, well-structured, and SEO-optimized.
- Multimedia Journalism: Support content with photos, videos, or graphics.
Key Responsibilities
Blog Writing & Content Creation
- Write engaging, well-researched blog posts that educate and inform readers.
- Craft articles that align with Norsteels brand voice and target audience.
Reporting & Writing
- Investigate and craft well-researched stories related to business, construction, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with company messaging.
Interviewing & Research
- Prepare questions and conduct interviews with stakeholders and experts.
- Source credible information to support articles and reports.
Editing & Publishing
- Proofread and refine drafts for grammar, tone, and readability.
- Ensure consistency in voice, style, and accuracy across all content.
What Were Looking For
Education: Enrolled in a Journalism, Communications, or English program.
Writing Skills: Strong storytelling ability with excellent written and creative writing skills.
Communication: Comfortable conducting interviews and engaging with sources.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and content management tools.
Bonus Skills: Experience with photography, video editing, or social media is a plus.
