Job Summary
As the Operations and Accounting Manager, you will oversee full-cycle accounting activities, streamline operational processes, and collaborate closely with the Owner to ensure business efficiency and financial health. This role requires strong accounting acumen, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage and optimize company operations. This position will play a critical role in supporting the Owner in the day-to-day functioning of the organization and support the organization from a financial and operational perspective.
The ideal candidate for the Operations and Accounting Manager role is a proactive, solutions-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in balancing both financial aspects of the business and day-to-day operations. They are detail-oriented yet adaptable, with a knack for spotting efficiencies and improving processes. With strong initiative and excellent communication skills, they can anticipate the needs of the owner and act as a trusted advisor.
Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Manage full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, financial reporting and budgeting.
- Monitor financial performance and provide analysis to support the organization’s strategic goals
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insights to the owner.
- Ensure financial compliance with government regulations
- Prepare year end audit files for external auditors
Operations
- Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency and support growth.
- Manage relationships with external collaborators, contracts, and operational resources.
- Act as the right hand to the owner by assisting in decision-making, project management, and helping to execute business objectives.
- Support owner with administrative and operational processes as required.
Qualifications:
- BAC in Accounting or relevant degree
- Operational or project management experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Bilingual French & English
- Ability to work autonomously with exceptional organizational skills
- This role is located at 5623 Ferrier, Mount-Royal, Quebec and is 100% on site. Parking is available on site.
In addition to offering a competitive compensation package this position also offers full group insurance coverage, paid half-day Fridays in the summertime and a paid holiday closure.

Résumé du Poste
En tant que Directeur(trice) des Opérations et Comptabilité, vous superviserez les activités comptables complètes, optimiserez les processus opérationnels et collaborerez étroitement avec le propriétaire pour assurer l'efficacité et la santé financière de l'entreprise. Ce rôle exige une solide expertise comptable, une approche proactive, et la capacité de gérer et d'optimiser les opérations de l'entreprise. Ce poste jouera un rôle essentiel dans le soutien quotidien du propriétaire et dans le support de l’organisation d'un point de vue financier et opérationnel.
Le candidat idéal pour ce poste est une personne proactive et axée sur les solutions, qui s'épanouit dans un environnement dynamique et qui excelle dans l'équilibre entre les aspects financiers et les opérations quotidiennes de l'entreprise. Cette personne a le souci du détail tout en restant adaptable, il/elle a un talent pour identifier les gains d’efficacité et améliorer les processus. Avec une forte initiative et d'excellentes compétences en communication, il/elle peut anticiper les besoins du propriétaire et agir comme un conseiller de confiance.
Responsabilités :
Comptabilité
- Gérer le cycle comptable complet, y compris les comptes fournisseurs, les comptes clients, le grand livre, la paie, les rapports financiers et la budgétisation.
- Surveiller la performance financière et fournir des analyses pour soutenir les objectifs stratégiques de l'organisation.
- Préparer et analyser les états financiers, en veillant au respect des normes comptables et en fournissant des informations au propriétaire.
- Assurer la conformité financière avec les réglementations gouvernementales.
- Préparer les dossiers d'audit de fin d'année pour les auditeurs externes.
Opérations
- Développer et mettre en œuvre des processus et des procédures opérationnels pour améliorer l'efficacité et soutenir la croissance.
- Gérer les relations avec les collaborateurs externes, les contrats et les ressources opérationnelles.
- Agir comme le bras droit du propriétaire en l’aidant dans la prise de décision, la gestion de projets, et l'exécution des objectifs commerciaux.
- Soutenir le propriétaire dans les processus administratifs et opérationnels selon les besoins.
Qualifications :
- BAC en comptabilité ou diplôme pertinent
- Expérience en gestion opérationnelle ou gestion de projets
- Compétences organisationnelles exceptionnelles, avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs tâches, de prioriser et de respecter les délais.
- Aptitude à la résolution de problèmes avec une approche proactive
- Expérience de 5 à 7 ans dans un poste similaire
- Bilingue français et anglais
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome avec des compétences organisationnelles exceptionnelles
