Our Corporate Facility Management Department is looking for a dedicated Contracted Services Supervisor to join the team.

Reporting to the CFM Maintenance Manager, the Contracted Services Supervisor will plan, organize and supervise departmental use of contracted service providers (third party vendors) in related maintenance repairs and mechanical improvement projects in City owned facilities.

Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
  • Third Party Vendor supervision including contract management, on-site work order reviews, completed work order follow up, overall service delivery supervision and assist leadership with vendor KPI management.
  • Coordination of services with the Facility Planner-Scheduler, Maintenance Supervisors and on-site operational teams, ensuring timely and appropriate delivery of services required with CFM Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Budget, resource & risk management including reviewing and approving invoices, ensuring services are delivered within the Facility Maintenance operational budgets and contractor risk mitigation.
  • Accountable for operational, short term, long range, renewal and capital planning for City facilities
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be team focused. This requires that you are adept at developing and managing relationships with both internal staff and external partners, have an analytical mindset and excellent problem solving skills.

You will also have:

  • Alberta Red Seal Trade Certification as Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter or HVAC Technician, or related construction trade, or two years of Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Sciences.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Five years commercial facility maintenance supervision.
  • Vast knowledge of commercial construction including interpretation of drawings & specifications.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems software (ie: Maintenance Connections, etc.).
  • Knowledge of current Building Management Systems (BMS ie: Reliable Controls, Delta, Johnson, Kantech, etc.).
  • High proficiency in computer skills & office software (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Alberta Building Code, critical systems & applicable legislation. ie. Elevators, Pressure Vessels, Fire Protection Systems, ULC, NFPA, CAN/CSA, ASTM, STANDATA, ABSA, B52, etc.
  • Outstanding supervisory, communication and staff performance management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Above average written & verbal communication skills.
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting Salary $45.51 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
