As part of our continued growth and commitment to excellence, WSP is seeking a Site Assessment/Investigation and Remediation Group Manager for our British Columbia and Yukon (BC/YT) Environmental Management (EM) Group. This new position is essential to support our expanding project portfolio and strategic goals as we look to the future, fostering both our current team’s development and preparing for anticipated growth through 2025 and beyond. About The Team
Our BC/YT Site Assessment/Investigation and Remediation team specializes in comprehensive site investigation, characterization, and delineation to support effective land management and environmental compliance. Offering services in CSAP review, remediation, options analysis, land liability, and soil relocation, we deliver customized solutions for government, public, and private clients. With expertise in guidance development, our team provides strategic, science-driven insights to manage land use liabilities and facilitate sustainable site development and restoration.

- Support Project Success – Oversee project lifecycles to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, meeting all technical and regulatory requirements.
- Implement Process Improvements – Identify and implement best practices, refining processes to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization across the team.
- Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration – Build strong relationships across departments, encouraging knowledge sharing and collective problem-solving to achieve integrated project success.
- A relevant undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or closely related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on Site Investigation and Remediation.
- Holds a professional registration in the province/territory of work; if currently practicing outside of BC/YT, eligibility to obtain professional registration within one year.
- Achieved a senior level of technical proficiency in Site Investigation and Remediation and are committed to the continued development of those skills.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- Proven commitment to Health & Safety (H&S) standards and practices, with a track record of promoting an inclusive and diverse (I&D) work environment that prioritizes safety, respect, and well-being for all team members.
- Adaptability and flexibility to prioritize and manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change and the ability to build partnerships across disciplines and areas of expertise.
- Self-motivated leader with excellent inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience, including training, reviewing work, and performance management.
- A proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships.
- Commitment to technical excellence and ability to write proposals and technical reports.
- Financial, forecasting and budgeting experience.
- Strategic and business planning experience.
Expected Salary (all locations): $122,500 to $187,200
WSP Canada is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it will pay for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to the specific geographic location.
