About the Role and Job: Position: Stress Engineer Location: Boisbriand, QC (Hybrid - 3 Days Office & 2 Days WFH) Hire Type: Fulltime Job Description Perform structural analyses in static, fatigue and damage tolerance with conventional and computer-assisted calculation methods. Support concept reviews and give recommendations to guide the design group. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components to meet requirements. Support internal/external design reviews, preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with Product Development Team’s Customers Qualifications Have a University mechanical or civil or aerospace engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Have an experience in composite and metallic structures and their behavior. Knowledge of CATIA V5, finite element modeling and analysis with NASTRAN/PATRAN. General computer skills are essential. Must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision. Must be able to read and write in English and have good communication skills.
