Lean Specialist

**Summary of the position**
The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for optimizing production processes using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce costs in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. He/she will play a key role in the smooth running of operations at our Mirabel plant. In an environment focused on continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma), quality and productivity, he/she will ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as factory production standards in order to aim to exceed our customers' expectations. He/she will be responsible for producing documentation aimed at the standardization of our operations, leading problem solving and providing technical training.
**Responsibilities**
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of methods and processes in order to optimize a continuous flow, and to reduce or eliminate waste.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement projects using Lean (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) and Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools.
- Coach teams on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitor and measure the performance of improvement projects to ensure the achievement of objectives.
- Write the required technical documentation.
- Lead problem resolution and provide technical advice when required.
- Perform time studies and propose changes to improve processes.
- Plan, organize, direct, carry out and control the parts of the projects under his/her responsibility.
- Suggest, write and participate in the integration of new technologies.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and effectiveness of improved processes.
**Requirements**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in engineering or a related field.
- Education: Lean Six Sigma (Yellow, Green or Black Belts) an asset.
- Experience: Technical or mechanical experience with production equipment in a highly standardized manufacturing sector such as those in the pharmaceutical, food, aeronautics, chemical or personal care industries, combined with experience in technical writing.
- Other knowledge, skills, etc. :Strong interpersonal communication skills, coaching;
- Leadership, organizational skills, good time and priority management, strong ability to adapt to change and resistance to stress; Ability to perform under mínimal supervision and support; High writing skills; Ability to understand the operation of industrial production systems and equipment; Experience in project management and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
