Job Description:
We are looking for a Service Provider to support students, parents, and teachers in our schools. The role includes providing activities that encourage physical activity and learning. We seek individuals who are passionate about quality services and the safety and well-being of our students.
Position Summary:
The Sexual Assault Response Services Provider will offer services related to crisis response, safety planning, information support, referrals, and community outreach for survivors of sexual assault of any age, including historical cases.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sexual Assault Response Services Provider's duties include:
1. Crisis Response: Provide crisis response to clients within 72 hours of the sexual assault, including:
- Responding to hospital call-outs
- Providing emotional support
- Identifying and addressing immediate needs
- Connecting clients with emergency personnel and other victim support programs
2. Information & Support: Support the emotional and practical needs of clients and their families using a trauma-informed and culturally appropriate approach. This includes:
- Helping navigate health and justice sector services
- Providing information on police processes
- Facilitating transportation to relevant services
- Assisting with justice system engagement
3. Safety Planning: Develop safety plans with clients to manage safety and reduce risk of further victimization, including:
- Assessing and addressing safety needs
- Coordinating with community and justice system partners
4. Third Party Reporting: Provide information and support for clients opting for third-party reporting, including assisting with report completion.
5. Service Coordination and Referrals: Ensure close collaboration with other victim service programs and provide referral information to various support services.
6. Community Outreach and Engagement: Engage with the community to enhance service delivery and raise awareness of sexual assault services.
7. Reporting: Complete statistical, narrative, and financial reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Two years' experience with intergenerational trauma with Indigenous women or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of issues impacting women in the sex trade and domestic violence
- Experience with victim services and related legal processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Skills:
- Understanding of Indigenous cultural history and safety
- Experience with trauma-informed practices
- Strong stakeholder relations and interpersonal skills
