Out of necessity, this will, at times, require some tolerance for things not being fully defined, yet balanced by calculated risk.What’s it like working as a Senior Manager, Strategy at Questrade?Senior Manager, Strategy is a critical leader reporting into the Director, Strategy, responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization's strategic vision. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, business acumen, leadership, and the ability to influence and inspire across the organization.In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Strategic Planning: Lead the development and refinement of the organization’s long-term strategic plan, aligning with the overall mission and vision. This includes identifying key opportunities and challenges, assessing the competitive landscape, validating uncertainties and risks, and defining strategic priorities.Strategic Initiatives Execution: Translate the strategic plan into actionable initiatives and drive their execution, working in collaboration with teams across the organization.Complex strategic problem solving: Provide resources and expertise to Journey leaders as needed to support business line specific strategic opportunities & challenges, including growth, innovation, efficiency and operations.Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.Business Development: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential mergers and acquisitions. Lead due diligence and integration efforts when necessary.Financial Analysis: Assess the financial viability of strategic initiatives and investment opportunities. Develop business cases and financial models to support decision-making.Executive Facilitation: Support planning and facilitation of executive-level meetings and workshops with thorough planning and coordination.Communication and Collaboration: Communicate the organization's strategic vision and priorities effectively to all levels of the organization. You are if you…Exceptional communicator and strategic, analytical thinker5+ years of work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, enterprise analytics, or corporate finance, with proven track record of leading and executing successful strategic initiativesStrong analytical capabilities with an outstanding attention to detailAbility to quickly assimilate large amounts of information; effectively comprehend, synthesise, analyse, structure and facilitate strategic decision makingDemonstrated experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams in a collaborative mannerSolid business acuity, professionalism, and integritySelf-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple competing initiativesExcellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to summarise and present findings clearly and succinctly and experience preparing materials to support executive-level decision makingComfortable communicating with all levels of leadership and staff and articulating their point of viewInfluencing skills, including ability to influence upwards and influence decision makingSophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, as well as key data analytics tools (PowerBI, SQL)Sounds like you?
