With over 30 years of proven success, this mechanical contractor has a focus in both new construction and retrofits. Their team is uniquely positioned to weather market fluctuations as they are focused on both public and private projects (Industrial, Commercial, Municipal, Institutional) and additionally, pre-qualified for major government tenders.
Currently looking to strengthen their team, this group is seeking to add an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead / Project Manager with 5+ years of experience with high-profile projects such as schools, hospitals, and government-related buildings. A Mechanical Commissioner professional will plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all activities of a project.
Education & Skill Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in commissioning mechanical systems
Strong Mechanical aptitude is required
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or college diploma in engineering technology is recommended.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of commissioning schedules for multiple projects
Interface with the project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate pre-functional and functional testing requirements
Conduct a pre-commissioning review of the project drawings and specifications to identify any scope conflicts or shortfalls in overall system functionality prior to commissioning so that operational solutions can be implemented at an early stage. Raise appropriate RFIs for clarity and action
Oversee the pre-functional and functional commissioning tests and ensure the necessary commissioning documentation is up-to-date and accurate
Assist in on-site quality assurance to reduce deficiencies through regular site walkthroughs
Responsible for full process planning through to turnover
Develop standard procedures for commissioning
Mentor, coach, and train project managers, coordinators, and foremen on the commissioning process
Conduct (or supervise) contract-required performance tests or demonstrations
Engage in owner-driven commissioning meetings to ensure schedule adherence and seamless execution
