We’re always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon community From fabrication and modularization to new builds, turnaround and maintenance, Aecon Industrial leads the way in industrial construction and water infrastructure, providing clients in Canada and the U.Reporting to the Manager of Labour Relations, the Craft Recruiter is responsible for providing recruitment support for trades positions and will assist with building and fostering a positive labour relations environment between our Project Teams and trade union partners. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide guidance on the screening process. Post job requisitions internally and externally, and source candidates through the appropriate media – professional organizations, career fairs/educational institutions, cold calling, and other websites/social media forums. Develop collaborative relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, site admins and stakeholders to foster effective relationships. Maintain up to date knowledge of construction industry trends and best practices for recruitment. Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment in a high-volume environment required. Preference would be given to those with construction, heavy civil, oil and gas, mining or similar experience. Knowledge of provincial employment laws, best practices and legal framework. Advanced computer skills MS Office including Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and grievance or document management systems. Valid Driver’s License required for frequent travel to meetings and conferences. Ability to travel to project sites is an asset.
