About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Indian Culinary Specialist to join our team at Hot Pot Grill Authentic Indian Cuisine. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with 35 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet our high standards.
  • Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supervising kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organizing buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Managing kitchen operations to meet customer demands and expectations.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. The successful candidate must also be able to work under pressure and make sound judgments in a physically demanding setting.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to interact with customers and staff.
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 based on industry standards and location.
