Job Summary

The Clinical Research Assistant will provide support to clinical research coordinators during visits to research subjects. This is a part-time position, requiring a commitment of h/week for a period of months. The role will involve working on weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Coordinator during research patient's visits: perform vital signs, ECG, weight/height measurement, and venipuncture;
  • Support the Coordinator during research patient's visits for certain special techniques and complete the research source documents accordingly;
  • Participate in the administration of the study medication;
  • Maintain devices and exam rooms;
  • Prepare the days of visits;
  • File research documents;
  • Understand and apply internal procedures;
  • Keep personal training file up to date.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurses degree;
  • Member of L'Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec;
  • CPR certificate;
  • Experience working with patients;
  • Experience in clinical research (an asset);
  • French/English bilingualism (oral and written);
  • Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP);
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel-Word);
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly;
  • Adaptability;
  • Likes teamwork;
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time;
  • Integrity, diligence, and thoroughness;
  • Autonomy.
