About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing building structures that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop building structures, including foundations, walls, floors, and roofs
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the stability and safety of building structures
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that building designs meet client needs and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement construction plans and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction work is being carried out in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building design and construction
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to lead projects as needed
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools
