Shift Operations Manager

**Job Summary**
Penske Transportation Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Operations Manager to join our team. As a Shift Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **People Management**
- Communicate daily work assignments to all shift team members
- Interview and recommend hourly associates for hire
- Ensure all associates are treated fairly and with respect
- **Operations Management**
- Evaluate and recommend changes in work processes to improve customer satisfaction
- Effectively manage deadline pressures while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ensure customer products are stored or delivered in a timely and damage-free manner
- **Financial Management**
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including inventory accuracy and control
- Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability
- Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and meet or exceed productivity targets
- **Safety and Compliance**
- Understand the location safety strategy and apply it in the workplace
- Continuously monitor and reinforce safety awareness among all shift team members
- Lead shift safety meetings
- **Growth and Customer Experience**
- Present a positive and can-do attitude to customers
- Understand location-specific customer goals and objectives
- Determine areas for continuous improvement efforts
- **Fleet and Asset Management**
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working order
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and sent to the appropriate vendor
- Ensure vehicles are properly secured when not in service
