Are you passionate about food and looking for a challenging role in a world-class resort? We are seeking a skilled Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Sun Peaks Resort. As a leader in our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food production, health and safety, and sanitation standards are met. You will also be responsible for teaching techniques, menu execution, and providing direct support to our Culinary Leadership team. This role offers opportunities for advancement in the Tourism/Hospitality industry and the chance to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our kitchen operations meet the highest standards of food production, health and safety, and sanitation.
  • Teach techniques and provide guidance to our culinary team members.
  • Ensure the quality execution of menu items and that they are delivered promptly to specifications.
  • Communicate and execute special dietary requests as per established standards.
  • Properly train all kitchen staff members on the accurate execution of menu items.
  • Assist service during main meal periods.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to culinary team members as they continue their professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with all F&B team members to ensure operational information is passed along to all shift leaders.

Requirements:

  • One year of production and Banquet experience is considered an asset.
  • Red seal Certification or a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Holds a current Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
  • Has a complete understanding of all aspects of the kitchen operations.
  • Is self-disciplined with a sincere desire to provide an elevated guest experience.
  • Self-starts on tasks and can respond to varying business volumes as they relate to impacts on the kitchen.
  • Is physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment and safely lifting heavy loads.
