Lead the Culinary Team at Sun Peaks Resort

Are you a passionate and experienced culinary professional looking to advance your career in a world-class resort? We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to join our team at Sun Peaks Resort.

About the Role:

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for leading the culinary team in the production of high-quality food, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menu plans and recipes to meet the needs of our guests
  • Lead and motivate the culinary team to achieve exceptional results
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and scheduling
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and taste
  • Develop and implement training programs for culinary staff
  • Assist in the development of seasonal menus and specials

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting
  • Red Seal Certification or a degree in Culinary Arts
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certification
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy loads
