We are seeking an experienced HR Supervisor to oversee the recruitment department in Manitoba, working closely with recruiters to manage sourcing, interviewing, and employment processes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee various HR activities including HRIS, recruitment, new employee orientation, and other HR functions, ensuring continuous process improvement.
- Provide monthly recruitment KPIs.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Manitoba recruiters, HR students, and volunteers; report on performance and assist in developing strategic HR plans.
- Lead recruitment projects, update policies/procedures, and manage job descriptions, postings, and interview packages.
- Facilitate recruitment strategy meetings with Senior Management to review progress, upcoming projects, and monthly data analysis.
- Develop effective recruitment strategies using web-based tools and manage Manitoba recruitment platforms.
- Support HR in employee relations, performance meetings, and terminations.
- Lead recruitment of management/office positions in Manitoba.
- Stay updated on labor legislation and inform managers of regulatory changes.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an HR role.
- Completion of a Post-Secondary Education in HR and Business Administration.
- Knowledge of Provincial Labour laws, the Workers Compensation Board, Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health, current issues in HR, and best industry practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Heart for those struggling with intellectual and mental health challenges.
- Clear Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector, Adult Abuse, and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
- Ability to work in office.
