About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Validation Engineer to join our team at CAE Inc. As a key member of our defence and security group, you will play a critical role in performing software validation through automation to improve the quality and performance of our Realtime aeronautical and synthetic environment software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute automated software validation using various testing tools on cloud and on-premises labs.
  • Support system designers with the implementation of their integrated test strategy.
  • Provide support to performance team members to execute QTG tests through DevOps & GitHub Actions pipeline for Defence & Security projects.
  • Integrate standard platform tests released by infrastructure teams on defence and security projects.
  • Create and define automated testing plans for defence and security products through DevOps/GitHub Actions pipeline using a variety of available testing platforms.
  • Help set up DevOps/GitHub Actions to execute the testing plan of various labs.
  • Act as an intermediary between different CAE development teams to ensure the testing infrastructure is working as expected.
  • Analyze test failures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Knowledge of C#, PowerShell, and FtiNess programming and scripting languages.
  • Good understanding of configuration management tools.
  • Good planning, organization, and communication skills required.
  • Aircraft system & aerospace knowledge is a plus.
  • CAE software application knowledge is a plus.
