About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at Colliers. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the risk control function on capital projects for our Federal Government clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Assistant Project Managers on your projects
  • Delegate and empower Assistant Project Managers
  • Build a personal brand
  • Grow sales inside existing accounts
  • Find opportunities to crossline selling in accounts you manage
  • Grow your Fee Income Managed on your projects
  • Manage project delivery teams to deliver the quality required by the client
  • Manage implementation of the work breakdown structure
  • Escalate project deliver and commercial/financial issues to Project Lead
  • Implement all work on your projects is delivered in accordance with our Quality Management System
  • Responsible for Client Satisfaction

Requirements

  • University or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar project management or advisory role, consulting to public sector clients
  • Experience overseeing the entire risk management process for a portfolio of projects
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-RM, CET, Registered Architect, or other similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • A broad consulting skill set including strong presentation and stakeholder management, business case and report writing, and organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong project controls and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and external industry subject matter experts
  • Proficiency in working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Softwares (Primavera P6, Crytal Ball, Procore, Unifier)
  • Must hold or be eligible for valid Government Security clearance at the Reliability or Secret level
