Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our Physiotherapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Conducting Group Exercises: Work with residents to implement treatment programs and achieve their goals, under the direct supervision of our Physiotherapists.
  • Encourage Resident Progress: Support residents in reaching their treatment goals, and document their progress after each therapy session.
  • Document Treatments and Progress: Accurately record treatments and resident progress, as instructed by our Physiotherapists.
  • Assist with Resident Transfers: Safely assist residents with walking, sitting, and transferring, as needed.
  • Monitor Resident Health Status: Report any changes in a resident's health status to our Physiotherapists or supervisors.
  • Perform Treatments: Apply ice packs, hot packs, ultrasound therapy, TENS, and other treatments as directed by our Physiotherapists.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
  • Experience and Certifications: Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home is an asset. A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector, valid TB Test, and/or Chest X-Ray are required. Access to a reliable vehicle is also necessary.
