Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant - Long Term Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our Physiotherapists to provide high-quality care to our residents in a Long Term Care setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with conducting group exercises and one-on-one sessions with residents, as directed by the Physiotherapist.
  • Encourage residents to reach their treatment goals and document progress after each session.
  • Provide support with walking, sitting, and safe transferring, and monitor any changes in a resident's health status.
  • Perform treatments such as applying ice packs, hot packs, ultrasound therapy, and electrotherapy, as directed by the Physiotherapist.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
  • Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home is an asset.
  • A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector and a valid TB Test or Chest X-Ray are required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
