Food and Beverage Server

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Marriott International. As a Room Service Server, you will be responsible for serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests, setting tables according to type of event and service standards, and answering questions on menu selections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Set tables according to type of event and service standards
  • Answer questions on menu selections and communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
  • Record transactions in the MICROS system at time of order
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related work experience in the hospitality industry
