Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our team as Communication Network Specialists in the Canadian Armed Forces.

About the Role

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining communication networks across Canada and around the world. As a Signal Operator, you will work with cutting-edge voice and data systems, providing wired and wireless communications and information services to military personnel.

Your primary duties will include installing, removing, troubleshooting, and operating technology such as:

  • Wired and Wireless Communications and Information Systems
  • Radio, Satellite, and Microwave Broadband Systems
  • Fibre Optic and Copper Wire Broadband Technology
  • Voice and Data Systems
Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, maintain, and repair communication equipment and systems
  2. Ensure seamless communication networks for military operations
  3. Provide technical support and training to military personnel
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada
  • Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent)
  • Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondaire IV in Quebec
Work Environment

You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of locations, including military bases across Canada and around the world. As a Communication Network Specialist, you can expect to work outdoors, in military vehicles, and in temporary shelters.

Training and Development

We offer comprehensive training programs to ensure you have the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role. You will attend the Basic Military Qualification course and receive specialized training in communication network installation, maintenance, and operation.

Additionally, you may be offered opportunities for advanced training and professional development to further enhance your skills and career progression.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, you will also enjoy a range of benefits, including access to healthcare, education assistance, and pension plans.
