Audit Quality Manager

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Audit Quality team as a Manager/Senior Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Audit & Assurance practice with new requirements and enhancements to our audit quality program.
As a Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive monitoring model, developing and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensuring a robust accountability framework. You will also work closely with the Audit Operations team to evaluate the impact on the Engagement Management Lifecycle and support DPP Leadership with frequent and detailed regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring model to support audit quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Audit Operations team to evaluate the impact of changes on the Engagement Management Lifecycle.
- Support DPP Leadership with regulatory reporting and ensure strong alignment with Risk Management.
- Work with National groups to standardize Global reporting requirements.
- Provide guidance to the National Audit Support Professionals Group.
- Liaise with Risk Management to ensure alignment of programming.
- Maintain a linkage to engagement work by retaining a small volume of client service accountabilities.
Requirements
- Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in a large professional services firm.
- Experience as an audit manager/senior manager and/or risk management or professional practice role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to generate high-quality deliverables.
- Experience and proven ability to manage team members and projects successfully and direct the work of others.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Confidence and resilience in dealing with senior partners and challenging situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships.
- Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling.
- Proficiency in English at a business level is required.
