Cultural Heritage Specialist / Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Cultural Heritage Specialist/Lead to join our team at Egis. As a key member of our Environmental Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growing team and contributing to the success of our clients.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heritage planning, conservation, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in cultural heritage. You will be responsible for preparing and finalizing cultural heritage reports, bidding on projects, and managing client relationships. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to promote and educate about cultural heritage services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the growth of the Cultural Heritage group through key hires, new clients, and business development;
  • Prepare and finalize cultural heritage reports;
  • Manage client relationships and business development;
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote cultural heritage services;
  • Attend industry events and represent Egis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in heritage planning, conservation, or a related field;
  • 5-10 years of experience in cultural heritage;
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP);
  • Qualified cultural heritage professional as defined by the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM);
  • Strong communication and project management skills;
  • Experience with municipal heritage planning processes and environmental assessment.
