We are seeking a highly skilled Cultural Heritage Specialist/Lead to join our team at Egis Canada. As a key member of our Environmental Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growth and expansion into the cultural heritage sector.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in heritage planning, conservation, and cultural resource management. You will be responsible for leading cultural heritage projects, providing expert advice to clients, and collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cultural heritage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery;
  • Provide expert advice to clients on cultural heritage matters, including heritage impact assessments, conservation plans, and cultural landscape surveys;
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement cultural heritage strategies, policies, and procedures;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups to promote our cultural heritage services;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our services meet the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in heritage planning, conservation, or a related field;
  • 5-10 years of experience in cultural heritage, with a strong background in heritage planning, conservation, and cultural resource management;
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP);
  • Qualified cultural heritage professional as defined by the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM);
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
