About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Manager to join our Rail and Transit team at WSP USA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the integration of complex rail systems, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and driving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Systems Integration Plans: Create and execute comprehensive systems integration plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage System Interfaces: Facilitate and chair meetings with designers and clients to discuss and manage system interfaces for complex rail projects.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Verify that all design elements comply with relevant rail operation rules, industry codes, and standards.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Mentor junior staff, develop their technical skills, and provide valuable leadership to ensure project success.
  • Manage Project Budgets and Schedules: Control project budgets, manage schedules, and motivate junior staff to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop and Execute Project Work Plans: Plan and execute project work based on an understanding of the project scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
  • Education: University or postgraduate degree in a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Registration: Registered as a P. Eng with an accreditable institution or eligible for registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in transit, safety-critical industry, or related engineering field.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Systems Engineering Certification: INCOSE Certification such as ASEP or CSEP.
  • Systems Integration Experience: Previous experience in systems integration for complex rail and transit projects.
  • Consulting Engineering Experience: Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of systems engineering process and principles, experience with systems engineering standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 and IEEE 1220, and familiarity with signalling principles, train control solutions, and railway standards.
