Auberge du Pommier, a renowned hospitality group, seeks a charismatic and organized Host to join our team at La Plume in Toronto's vibrant King West neighborhood.

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your warm smile, engaging personality, and attention to detail will make every guest feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and efficiently, ensuring a seamless check-in process
  • Manage guest flow, maximizing seating capacity while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and managers to ensure impeccable service
  • Escort guests to their tables, engaging them in friendly conversation and building a loyal following
  • Maintain a high level of organization, accurately taking reservations over the phone and in person
  • Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas are immaculate, stocked, and clutter-free
  • Develop a deep understanding of our menu, wine list, and offerings to provide expert recommendations
  • Collaborate with the Front of House Management Team to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
