Job Title: Claims Specialist

Description:

  • Process new claim intake for various insurance lines, including personal, commercial, and specialty, through phone contact with CAA members.
  • Verify and enter claim details into the claims management system.
  • Correspond with adjusters, vendors, and other departments to ensure access to necessary documents.
  • Manage the customer inquiry queue to respond to inquiries and complaints.
  • Coordinate claim services through vendor partners to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Monitor the claims notification inbox for new claims notices.
  • Track new claims for valuable reporting data.
  • Accurately document claim data for reporting requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education is required.
  • CIP/FCIP Insurance Institute of Ontario certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of claims intake and customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with claims management systems.
  • Familiarity with phone queue procedures.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
