About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at WOK BOX MOOSEJAW. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
    • Portion and wrap food items for serving.
    • Package take-out food for customers.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
    • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans.
    • Empty trash and recyclables from the kitchen area.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive and store supplies, including food, cleaning products, and paper goods.
    • Restock refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards as needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving food and beverages.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning products. The ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a team environment is essential.
